Police

NT Police are concerned for the welfare of 80-year-old, Ingrid Phillips, who went missing from her home on Zimmin Drive in Katherine early this morning.

Senior Sergeant Gavin Kennedy said Mrs Phillips wandered away from her home sometime between 2:00 am and 4:00 am.

“We don’t know at this stage which direction she travelled after leaving her home. We currently have Police searching the area by foot and vehicle.

“Mrs Phillips suffers from Alzheimer's disease and diabetes, for which she requires daily medication. Concerns are held for her welfare and Police are appealing to the public to assist in finding Mrs Phillips.

“Mrs Phillips is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 155cms in height, skinny build and approximately 49kg. She has blue eyes and short curly white coloured hair.

“It is believed that she was wearing a pair of khaki grey coloured ¾ pants, a navy blue floral button up shirt with a brooch on it, and a pair of navy blue flat shoes with a velcro strap. She may also be carrying a brown shoulder bag," said Senior Sergeant Kennedy.
