NT Police are continuing to investigate a melee which occurred at approximately 5am this morning.
Commander Jamie Chalker said Police were called to attend reports of a melee on Knuckey Street near Smith Street involving four males.
“Upon arrival at the scene, a 32 year old male was being treated by St John Ambulance for serious facial injuries before being conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for further treatment.

“Two of the persons reported to have been involved were off duty Police Officers aged 27 and 34 years of age.
“While both Officers were subsequently arrested to assist Police with their enquiries, they have since been released without charge.
“A fourth male was taken into protective custody and has also since been released without charge.
“Investigations are continuing including a Police internal disciplinary investigation and it is believed alcohol was a contributing factor,” Commander Chalker said.
