Alice Springs Police would like to advise that due to the substantial amount of rainfall in the Alice Springs catchment area, the lower level causeways of the Todd River have been closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The following roads are currently closed:
Schwartz Crescent
Tuncks Causeway
Palm Circuit - Heavitree Gap
Wills Terrace
A current watch is in place for the lower level causeways and advice will be provided when the causeways will be re-opened.
The water level is not expected to recede for another 8-10 hours.
