Northern Territory Police continue to search for a 15-year-old male who escaped from an Alice Springs detention centre yesterday evening.

The youth scaled a fence at the juvenile facility at about 6:30 pm.

In addition to patrols, NT Police are utilising tracking dogs to locate the youth.

He is of Aboriginal appearance and was last seen wearing a green t-shirt and brown shorts.

Members of the public are asked to remain vigilant and report any sightings to police.
