Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy who escaped from an Alice Springs detention centre on Friday.

Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy who escaped from an Alice Springs detention centre on Friday.

The youth scaled a fence at the juvenile facility at about 6:30 pm.
 
Police arrested the youth at 2:00 pm today after locating him at a Alice Springs residence.

He is expected to be charged in relation to escaping lawful custody.
