Indecent assault – Call for witnesses – Stuart Park

Police

General Crime Detectives are investigating an indecent assault that occurred in Stuart Park on Thursday 1 December.

It is alleged that at approximately 2:15 am, an unknown male entered the Kent Court residence through an unlocked front door.

Senior Constable Max Lisson said the 29-year-old female resident was asleep in the lounge room when the male approached her and indecently touched her.

“The woman woke up, screamed and grabbed the male by the t-shirt, however he was able to flee the scene,” said Sen Con Lisson.

“The offender was described to be of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 17 years of age, slim build and around 165cms tall.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark baseball style hat with white stitching, a tight black mesh singlet, black shorts and white shoes.

“Police are continuing their investigations and urge anyone that may have seen a man fitting this description, or saw any suspicious behaviour in the area on that day, to contact them on 131 444.”
