Flood Advice - Adelaide River

Police

The Northern Territory Emergency Service and Adelaide River Police advise that the river level in the Adelaide River township area is on the rise. At this stage, it is anticipated that the river will rise by no more than 11.2 metres by approximately 4.30 pm this afternoon. Adelaide RIver Police are in the area monitoring the situation and advising the public. Northern Territory Emergency Service Duty Officer Mark Cunnington urges the public to take care and remain alert. Should the River peak at 11.2 metres, there is a possibility that water may enter some of the lower lying areas of Adelaide River township. While there is no need for panic, members of the public do need to consider their options and make the necessary preparations to keep their families and their property safe. Care should also be taken on all roads in the area.
