A 63-year-old Queensland woman will be summonsed to appear in court for fisheries related offences after she was found over the possession limit yesterday.

Members of the Water Police Section have been conducting routine fisheries checks at campsites in the Daly River area over the last two days.

The woman, who was camping at the Daly River, was found to have exceeded the possession limit of Barramundi, had undersized Barramundi and a number of skinless fillets.

The woman will be summonsed to appear at the Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police would like to remind people that there are new possession limits within the Daly River Fish Management Zone and people fishing there will be checked.
