The Major Crash Investigation Unit and Darwin Traffic Operations are currently investigating a fatal crash which now brings the Territory road toll to eight.
At approximately 6.15 pm this evening, Police, Fire and Rescue and St. Johns Ambulance attended a road crash on Brandt Road, Knuckey Lagoon.
The sole male occupant of the vehicle has died as a result of the crash.
It is not known if speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this accident.
A number of people stopped to render assistance prior to the arrival of Emergency Services.
Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact them on 131 444.
NT Police are urging motorists to take care on our roads and drive to the conditions at all times.
This death brings the Territory road toll to 8 compared to 15 for the same period last year.
