Members from the Alice Springs Major Crash Investigation Section are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on White Gum Drive in Amoonguna.

Police received notification at 7:20pm that a female pedestrian had been hit by a car.

St John Ambulance attended the scene but the female was found deceased.

The driver of the car is assisting Police with their enquiries.

Members from the Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and there is no further information at this stage.

This now takes the NT road toll to 20 compared to 21 for the same period last year.
