As a result of a crash that occurred in Blythe River between Ramingining and Maningrida today, a small child has died.

A vehicle crash was reported to Police at 3:15pm this afternoon on the banks of the Blythe River.

Police from Ramingining and Maningrida as well as members from the Fire Emergency Response Group (FERG) attended the scene locating the child deceased in the vehicle.

This now takes the NT road toll to 15 compared to 21 for the same period last year.
