Eight adults and two children are currently being evacuated by air from Kakodbebildi Outstation. The community currently has no food, water, power or generator. They are effectively totally isolated and have requested assistance to evacuate. With only a few hours of daylight remaining, Northern Territory Police have concluded that the members of the Outstation are in need of immediate evacuation. A JetRanger Helo is being deployed to the outstation, situated 45 kms south of Maningrida, to evacuate the community. Community members will stay with extended family in Maningrida.
