Drug seizure - Nhulunbuy

Police have arrested two males aged 42 and 44 in relation to drugs located at Nhulunbuy Airport.
Members attended and completed a random search of luggage, locating almost 42 kilograms of Kava. Three males were apprehended at the airport and taken to the Nhulunbuy Police Station.
The two males have been charged with possession and supply of a trafficable quantity of kava.
Acting Superintendent Brendan Muldoon of the Northern Operational Service Division said this was yet another good bust for police.
"We are constantly conducting such searches and people should be aware of this. I urge anyone that may have information in relation to kava and other drug smuggling incidents occurring, to contact police on 131 444" he said.
