Drug Seizure - Humpty Doo

Police

Members from the Drug and Organised Crime Section seized a large quantity of cannabis from a residence in Humpty Doo yesterday.

Detectives attended the house on Acacia Road at about 10:00am and executed a search of the premise.

As a result of the search Police located and seized the following:

23 cannabis plants being grown in a clandestine hydroponics grow room,
57 grams of loose cannabis plant material
Two grams of an unknown white substance
A hydroponics system, including pots, heat lights, transformers, timers, pumps, fans, ducting, reflective tarps, metal supports, reticulation pipes/fittings and a large quantity of nutrients and fertilisers.

At this stage no arrests have been made, however charges will be laid in the near future.

Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said this seizure would interrupt the availability of cannabis in the Darwin area.

"Police will continue to target the production and supply of illicit drugs in the community" he said.
