A 58-year-old man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today after Police located 12 cannabis plants in a hydroponics grow room yesterday.
Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Section were executing a search warrant at the Herbert residence when they made the discovery inside a shipping container.
As a result of the search, Police located and seized the following:
- 12 cannabis plants being in a hydroponics grow room
- 1.47 kilograms of loose cannabis plant material
- 3.12 grams of cannabis seeds
- A hydroponics system, including pots, grow lights, transformers, timers, pumps, fans, and a large quantity of nutrients.
The man has been charged with:
- Possess cannabis – commercial quantity
- Possess cannabis – seeds
- Cultivate cannabis – trafficable quantity
- Supply cannabis
