A 14-month-old girl has passed away following a drowning incident in the rural area of Darwin this morning.

Police and St John Ambulance crews were called to a residence in the rural area at around 10:30 am.

Family and neighbours attempted to revive the girl before Police and St John Ambulance arrived.
