In excess of $50,000 worth of damage has been done to cars and business premises in Winnellie during the early hours of Monday morning.

Police allege brick pavers and rocks were used to smash several cars and the front windows of buildings along the Stuart Highway between Bombing Road and Farrell Crescent, Winnellie.

Police would like public assistance in locating the people responsible and ask anyone with information or who saw people / vehicles acting suspiciously in the area to call 131 444 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
