Police

Police and NT Emergency Service members have been searching the Mount Gillen area today for missing 33-year-old man Kristoffer (Kris) Wheeler.

Sergeant Shaun Gill said Police and NT Emergency Service personnel have been searching the area since early this morning.

“We continue to hold concerns for his welfare and as such, we are doing everything we can to locate Mr Wheeler,” said Sergeant Shaun Gill.

“NT Emergency Service and Police members are searching on foot, on motorbikes and we’ve even got a helicopter conducting searches in and around the Mount Gillen area.

“Mr Wheeler is described as being a Caucasian male, 167cms tall, with a bald head and of medium build. He has a tattoo on his right forearm which reads ‘Brigitta’ and his left ear is pierced with a diamond stud.

“I urge anyone that may have been in the vicinity of the Larapinta Trail, Telegraph Station, Trig Point Trail or Flynn’s Grave since 7:00 am yesterday morning to contact us on 131 444. If someone has seen a person who is of similar description in those areas, I urge them not to discount the possible sighting and report it to the police to assist us advancing this investigation.”
