Police have issued a Comfit of a man wanted in relation to an armed robbery in Alice Springs yesterday.

The 16-year-old female victim told police she was approached by the offender at around 1pm as she was walking near the Civic Complex on Railway terrace. Then man allegedly grabbed her by the arms and pushed her against a wall before threatening her with a knife and demanding money.

The girl gave him $20 and he walked away towards the highway.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 174cm tall and about 40-years-old with a skinny build. He had unruly dark hair shot through with grey and a greying beard. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, a red sleeveless vest and blue jeans.
