A 16-year-old girl has been charged with murder following the death of a 15-year-old boy on Thursday morning.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant David Richardson said it is alleged that an altercation occurred between the two at around 1:00 am at Hidden Valley Camp.

“As a result, the male received a stab wound to the leg and was transported to hospital, however died a short time later.

“The 16-year-old was arrested yesterday and charged with murder this afternoon. She is expected to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on Monday 28 November 2011”
