At approximately half-past-seven last night, a male offender has entered the Driver Supermarket store in Palmerston brandishing a large, rusted machete.

The offender has threatened the attendant and demanded money from the till.

The offender is described as approximately six foot tall, wearing a yellow hooded jumper with the words DMX written across the front of it in white.

The hood was pulled over his head and a black cloth material covered the rest of his face.

Only his eyes were visible.

He was also wearing dark pants, runners and gloves.

The offender received money from the attendant before running from the store.
