Attempted abduction update #3

Police

Police have received a number of promising leads relating to a number of attempted abductions that occurred last week in Palmerston and Karama.

Detective Superintendent Richard Bryson of the Major Crime Division said that we need people to remain vigilant.

“We’ve had a lot of calls through both the Police Assistance Line as well as Crime Stoppers and thank those people, however we’re sure that there are people out there who haven’t yet come forward,” Detective Superintendent Bryson said.

“We would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed any of the three incidents. The 13-year-old boy who was approached on Cunningham Crescent in Palmerston on Tuesday afternoon or the 11-year-old girl who was approached in Gray on Wednesday. The two-year-old boy who was almost taken from his home in Donaldson Court in Karama on Friday at around 11:30 am, was particularly disturbing.

“These incidents occurred in broad daylight and your information, no matter how small, may be the piece of the puzzle we need to make an arrest.

“We urge anyone that may recognise the males or the vehicle in the comfit images, or who may witness any suspicious activity to contact Police immediately on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
