A 53-year-old man will be summonsed in relation to an incident in Moulden in which two people were allegedly assaulted with a golf club.

Police received a report of a disturbance in Buckland Court, Moulden, just before 1am on Sunday morning.

Superintendent Richard Bryson said police arrived a short time later to find a man in nearby Cutherbertson Court armed with a golf club.

“Two of the man’s neighbours – a 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man -  told police the man had assaulted them with a golf club during a neighbourhood dispute,” Supt Bryson said.

“The man will be summonsed to appear in court to answer charges of aggravated assault and being armed with an offensive weapon.”
