NT Police have arrested a 26-year-old male Irish National in relation to the alleged assault of a female passenger who was travelling in a taxi in the early hours of Sunday 12 June 2011

The arrest was made by Sex Crimes Section and Darwin Response Patrol members in the CBD last night. 

This was the result of extensive investigations which were assisted by information from members of the public after media coverage from a media release on Friday 24 June 2011.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Deprivation of Liberty.
