Arrests for damaging property – Stuart Park

Police

Police have arrested three males, all foreign nationals in relation to property damage and stealing that occurred in Stuart Park on Saturday 2 July 2011.

At approximately 3:00 am on Saturday morning it is alleged that two 21-year-old males and a 25-year-old male attended a car sale yard on the Stuart Highway.

The males then smashed a window of a vehicle before rummaging around under the bonnet, stealing numerous parts including a water pump. The items were later dumped as the offenders left the scene.

Following up on information provided by a vigilant member of the public, Police located the three in Darwin City in the days following.

All of the stolen items have since been recovered.

All three men have been charged with interfere with a motor vehicle, damage property, stealing and were bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 7 July.
