Police received a report on January 5 from the management at Longitude 131 after staff noticed four Opal necklaces in a display cabinet were missing.

Police investigations led to the execution of a search warrant at the Alice Springs Post Office on Wednesday this week where one of the missing necklaces was located in a parcel.

Police at Yulara then executed another search warrant on the alleged offender's home and located the other three necklaces.

The man was arrested yesterday and has been charged with stealing. He has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court next Tuesday (March 22).
