Police have arrested a 24-year-old male in relation to the unlawful entry of the Parap tavern in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

The man was sighted by police when he exited the tavern, allegedly carrying a bucket filled with stolen liquor.  The man dropped the bucket and fled the area.  Police gave chase but lost sight of the man.

Quality CCTV images obtained led to an officer from Darwin police station recognising the suspect.  The man was found hiding under the stairs of his home address.

He was arrested and bailed with strict no alcohol conditions.
