Police

A woman will face court for allegedly selling alcohol without a licence in an Alice Springs car park today.

Police were alerted just after 11am today after CCTV monitoring staff in Darwin noticed her making illegal alcohol sales in the Post Office car park.

Constable Brodie Anderson said police were able to identify the woman through CCTV footage.

“We went to the location and found the woman with a backpack which still contained alcohol,” Const Anderson said.

“We arrested the woman and seized two bottles of spirits and a bottle of wine plus almost $400 in cash.”

The 39-year-old woman is expected to be interviewed later today.
