Arrest for Parap Unlawful Entry

Police

Police patrolling the Parap Road and Stuart Highway area at around 3:30 am witnessed the 28-year-old acting suspiciously and after a short foot pursuit apprehended the male. They then located a large garbage bin with approximately $450 worth of alcohol inside.

It is alleged that the male, possibly in the company of others, used a rock to smash through the window of a licensed premises on Parap Road at 3:10 am.

Watch Commander Craig Ryan said that this was a great result.

"The fact that we had someone in Police custody before the original offence was even reported again highlights what an important part patrolling members play 24 hours a day, seven days a week" Senior Sergeant Ryan said.

Police urge anyone that may have witnessed the event, or who may have seen anyone travelling with a garbage bin down Parap Road early this morning, to contact them on 131 444.
