A 36-year-old man will appear in court after police executed a search warrant on his home and located drugs and a firearm.

Members of the Drug Intelligence Unit and the Dog Operation Unit executed a search warrant on the man's Cameron Street home just after 6pm on Friday night.

They seized 2 grams of Methylamphetamine, 29.3 grams of Cannabis seeds, 9.1 grams of Cannabis and a double barrelled shotgun and ammunition.

The man was arrested and charged with numerous offences including possessing a trafficable quantity of Cannabis seeds and Amphetamines and firearms offences.

He has been bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on April 14.
