Another arrest for shooting - Katherine

Katherine Police have arrested a second man, a 31-year-old, in relation to the shooting that occurred in Katherine on Sunday night.

It is alleged that the 31-year-old was in the company of a 29-year-old male who was driving a purple Holden Commodore along the Victoria Highway at around 8:00 pm when the incident occurred.

Constable First Class Damien Barbe from the Northern Investigation Section said they believe the men fired a gun at a 23-year-old male in a blue Holden Commodore.

“The male received minor injuries and was taken to hospital,” said Constable First Class Barbe.

“The 31-year-old male was located and arrested last night at an address in Katherine by Territory Response Group members.

“The men have been charged with recklessly endangering life and are to appear in the Katherine Court today.

“Anyone that may have been in the area at the time is urged to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
