Amphetamine, Cannabis Bust - Palmerston

Detectives in Palmerston have arrested a 25 year-old man after executing a search warrant on his house.

The discovery of 27 grams of amphetamine in numerous clip seal bags, digital scales and $1800 in cash have led to charges including the supply of a dangerous drug, possession of a trafficable amount of a schedule 2 dangerous drug and the possession of cash alleged to be from the proceeds of crime.

Police also found three cannabis plants and 6.7 grams of loose cannabis at the residence, leading to charges of cultivation of a prohibited plant and possession of a dangerous drug.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Schiller said:

“The person was well set up to supply these drugs to the community and Police are happy to take another dealer off the streets.”

The man has been remanded to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
