21 More Officer for the NT Police Force

Twenty one Constable recruits, from Squad 108 and consisting of 5 females and 16 males, graduated today in a ceremony held at the Darwin Basketball Stadium in Marrara. The ceremony marked the end of a 26 week training course for Constables at the Police, Fire and Emergency Services College for the graduates who will assume positions across the NT. Police Commissioner John McRoberts said, "This squad represented the standards expected of all police officers including honesty, integrity and dedication to serving the community." "Congratulations to all members of Squad 108 for choosing to serve and protect Territorians. I wish all graduates the best with the challenges ahead," he said. New Constable Alain Diamond said the recruit course has been a challenge and a very memorable experience. "The training course is extremely varied and certainly challenging. Our Squad all got along very well and the experience has been one I'll always remember. "I'll be moving to Alice Springs with my wife and two children and look forward to being on the ground and experiencing life as an NT Police Constable," he said.
