13-year-old girl arrested - Palmerston

NT Police have charged a 13-year-old girl in relation to the unlawful entry and criminal damage of two buildings in Gray last week.

It is alleged a group of youths entered St. Luke's Anglican Church childcare centre during the evening of the 17th of May by smashing a glass window. Once inside the youths threw items around the room and emptied food onto the floor before they located a number of containers full of paint.

The youths then proceeded to throw paint on the floors, walls, doors, ceilings and electrical items. Faeces were also located across the walls of the bathroom.

A number of electrical items, first aid kits and DVD's were stolen.

The youths then attended Gray Primary School and smashed a number of windows before throwing paint on the walls, floors and signage. Offensive language was also written on walls with the paint

The 13-year-old girl has been charged with invasion of business premises, criminal damage, unlawful entry and stealing.

Investigations are continuing into possible co-offenders.
