Update - Charges - Armed Robbery - Howard Springs

Police have charged a 27-year-old man after he robbed a rural nursery at gun point yesterday afternoon.

It is alleged the male attended a nursery on Whitewood Road in Howard Springs before demanding money and bags from staff and customers at the nursery.

Police arrested the man in the rural area at about 5:00 pm and he has since been charged in relation to the following offences:

Robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon
Makes threats to kill a person.
He received bail with strict conditions and is due to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on Friday 17 September.

The majority of the cash has been recovered along with a small calibre firearm.

Detectives are continuing their investigations and urge anyone who has further information in relation to the incident or the whereabouts of the stolen property, is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
