Another person has been arrested and charged in relation to disturbances at Yuendumu this week.

Police arrested a 52-year-old woman today and she has been charged with:
Taking part in a riot
Being Armed with an offensive weapon
Incite to riot

She has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on Monday, September 20.

Police are continuing to investigate the disturbances at the community and more arrests are expected.

Acting Senior Sergeant Shaun Gill said the situation in the community had remained calm today and police met with community leaders throughout the day to facilitate an on-going resolution to the situation.

"We have made numerous arrests throughout the day and investigations will continue until all the offenders have been dealt with," A/Sen Sgt Gill.

"We are pleased with the progress of discussions with community leaders and feel confident that calm has been restored."
