Northern Territory Police today confirmed that a second person of interest in relation to the murder investigation of Peter Wayne Murphy was found deceased in his Brisbane home on Friday, May 7.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Pollock of the Territory's Major Crime Unit said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file was being prepared by Queensland Police for the Queensland Coroner.

On Monday this week Queensland police arrested 31-year-old Adam Filippone in Bundaberg. The man made a brief appearance in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday and the matter has been adjourned until Friday when an extradition application will be decided.

If granted, he is expected to be returned to Alice Springs where he will face court for the murder of Mr Murphy who went missing in Alice Springs in August 2008. His body is yet to be found.
