Unlawful entry, stealing and ram raids - Alice Springs

In the early hours of Tuesday morning an unknown number of offenders went on rampages in Larapinta & Desert Springs estates where six motor vehicles were stolen from five residences and three vehicles were interfered with.

Some of the stolen vehicles were then used in two ram raid incidents at the Northside Foodland and the Gap View Hotel. Extensive damage to each premises occurred as a result of the ram raids and a quantity of food and alcohol was stolen.

Police have arrested two male youths aged 14 and 15 in relation to the incidents. They will be interviewed this afternoon.

The six stolen vehicles have been found by police.

Today Police have been conducting door-knock enquiries, speaking with victims of crime and conducting forensic examinations at each scene to identify other offenders involved in these incidents.
