Unlawful Entry and Stealing - Katherine

Katherine police are concerned after a range of veterinary drugs and tranquilizers were stolen from a Katherine Veterinary Surgery on Friday.

It is alleged unknown offenders entered the building on Second Street between the hours of 6pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday before removing a box full of assorted drugs.

NT Police are concerned that these dangerous drugs including animal tranquilizers may be sold to or injected by people within the community

Officers from the Katherine Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk have conducted two search warrants in Katherine however the stolen drugs have not yet been located.

Superintendent Brent Warren of Katherine Police Station has urged anyone who is offered an unknown drug not to take it.

"These drugs are potentially fatal and are certainly not made for human consumption."

Investigations into this matter are continuing.
