Unlawful entry and damage - Darwin

Police



Police received the report shortly after 3:30 pm when an alarm in the school was activated.

It is alleged that up to three youths broke into the school by removing louvers from the windows and crawling through.

Once inside the building the youths went on a rampage, throwing plastic items and books around several classrooms.

A powder fire extinguisher was set off and sprayed around a room and then used to smash a fish tank.

While police were in attendance at the scene, two youths walked past the fitting the description given by witnesses, they were also covered in fire extinguisher powder.

The youths were returned to their parents and guardians by police. An investigation into the incident is continuing and it is expected that the youths will be formally interviewed at a later date.
