Unlawful entry and assault - Parap

Police are calling for public assistance following the release of a 62-year-old man from hospital today after he was assaulted this morning in Parap.

Police allege that at around 3:00 am a group of two or more offenders broke into the Douglas Street Supermarket by smashing a glass panel in the front door and pulling the security screen up.

Police allege that the victim confronted the thieves and was then assaulted.

The offenders have fled the scene with a large amount of alcohol and cigarettes.

The offenders are described as being male, Caucasian and in their early 20's. One of the males had fair to blonde hair. A green sedan with its boot up was seen leaving the area and is believed to be involved.
