Police

Between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm yesterday, a residence on Goodman Street, Nakara was unlawfully entered.

It appears that offender/s entered the premises via an attached garage and proceeded to search throughout the house, before fleeing the area with a large number of items.

Stolen items included, a laptop computer, a large amount of cash, a quantity of jewellery, a Nintendo Wii console and an Automatic Bowling Machine valued at around $7 000.

In total, it is alleged that more than $35 000 worth of items were stolen from the residence.

Police were also alerted to an unlawful entry at the Airport Resort at around 1:00 am this morning.

Members received information that a black Honda sedan, earlier stolen from a nearby suburb, had been seen leaving the area.

Upon attending it was established that several males had located a fridge at the Darwin Airport Resort, broken the door and removed a large quantity of liquor before fleeing the scene.

Police patrols saturated the area, subsequently locating the stolen vehicle parked at a block of flats in Hawkins Court, Malak.

A search of a nearby residence located the stolen liquor, jewellery and electronic items.

Two 19-year-old males were arrested and expected to be charged later today with stealing offences.

Police are continuing investigations into both incidents and urge anyone that may have information in relation to either of them, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or http://www.nt.crimestoppers.com.au/.
