NT Police are hoping three youths can assist in their investigation into yesterday's fire at the derelict Phoenix Hotel complex in Nightcliff.

Police and Fire Investigators are today continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the fire, the third at the site in the past 12 months.

The site will be tested for the presence of asbestos today.

Yesterday's blaze was extinguished at about 5:30 pm and resulted in six demountables being destroyed.

Any one who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has further information in relation to the fire is urged to contact 131 444.

One NT Fire and Rescue member was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital as a result of heat exhaustion and was discharged later last night.
