Alice Springs Police are calling for public assistance after a structure fire on Plumbago Crescent over night.

The Fire and Rescue Service were called to the location at about 12:45 this morning after receiving reports of a fire at the vacant house.

Fire fighters extinguished the blaze within half an hour and fire investigators have since identified a number of ignition points, indicating the fire was deliberately lit.

No one was injured during the fire however the house sustained extensive smoke damage.
Police urge any one who was in the vicinity of Plumbago Crescent at the time of the incident or who may have further information in relation to the blaze is urged to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
