Stolen Vehicles - Pinelands

Police

Police are calling for public assistance after two vehicles were stolen from a car yard on the Stuart Highway in Pinelands earlier this week.

It appears the offenders unlawfully entered the car yard sometime between 10:00 pm on Tuesday and 7:00 am yesterday before gaining entry to the office and removing a number of keys. It is alleged they then removed a section of the front fence before driving a silver Holden Maloo utility and a red Holden Commodore utility from the premises.

The male caretaker reported the incident to police at 7:00am yesterday after noticing numerous vehicles had been moved around the yard.

The vehicles were located on Glendower Road yesterday at about 5:00pm after Police received information from a member of the public.

The red utility was towed from the scene; however the silver utility was completely destroyed by fire and will be towed from the area later today.

NT police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area on Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning or anyone with further information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
