Stolen vehicles - Darwin

Police

NT Police are calling for public assistance after two stolen vehicles were found abandoned in Fannie Bay last night.

Police received the report shortly after 10:30 pm of two vehicles, being a red 4X4 Subaru and a white Mitsubishi Triton utility, acting in a suspicious manner.

It is alleged that both cars drove down Allen Street with their headlights off and stopped on the street outside a residence. A short time later a third vehicle, described as a small dark hatchback, arrived and picked up the drivers and left the area.

The WA registered 4X4 Subaru was reported stolen to police on 27 October 2009 from Darwin City.
The NT registered Mitsubishi Triton utility was reported stolen to police on Saturday from a Palmerston residence.
Both vehicles have been seized and investigations are continuing.

Police urge anyone who may seen anything suspicious, or who may have any information in relation to the incident, to contact them on 131 444 or on Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
