Stolen vehicle - Moulden – 4453171

Police



The incident occurred between 12:30am and 9:00am Saturday morning, and police sighted the vehicle travelling along Chung Wah Terrace in Palmerston at approximately 9:10am.

It is alleged that after being sighted by police, the male proceeded to drive the vehicle recklessly, mounting curbs and knocking over a sign.

The stolen vehicle was travelling along Buscall Avenue when it narrowly avoided a collision with a four-wheel-drive which was travelling along Buscall Avenue towards the intersection of Chung Wah Terrace.

The stolen vehicle stopped outside Bakewell Primary School due to engine troubles, and police arrested the 23-year-old male at the scene.

The male was charged with numerous offences including stealing, driving with a high range blood alcohol content, and recklessly endangering life.

He has been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 8 February, 2010
