Stolen motorbikes - Palmerston

NT Police are calling for public assistance after two motorbikes were stolen in Gunn early this morning.

Police received the report at approximately 1:30 am after a member of the public observed four persons acting suspiciously in the yard of a near by residence.

It is alleged the four persons, possibly youths, broke into the yard and removed two motorbikes that were chained and padlocked onto the rear of a utility.

Both of the motorbikes were started and were last seen travelling in the vicinity of Lambrick Avenue.

The stolen motorbikes are described as being a green and black Kawasaki KX 100 97 with a blue seat and handle bars and a red and black CR250 2003. The motorbikes do not have number plates.

Police urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, or who may have any information in relation to whereabouts of the motorbikes, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
