At about 12.00 pm police received report that a vehicle had rolled at the station about 130 km east of Mataranka and one person was trapped under the vehicle.

It is alleged the accident occurred when the man and a 50-year-old female passenger were mustering cattle and when he turned too sharply causing the vehicle to roll briefing trapping him under the roll bar. The female was thrown free and did not receive injuries during the crash.

Katherine and MInyerri police attended the scene via helicopter.

The male received severe injuries and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital via Care Flight helicopter.

Police will attend the scene today to conduct further investigation into the exact cause of the crash.
