Police have charged two males in relation to a stolen vehicle crash in Jingili on Friday.

It is alleged the two 15-year-old boys stole the car from a Ludmilla home in the early hours of Friday before taking part in an eight minute police chase. The driver lost control of the vehicle at the Trower Road and Lakeside Drive intersection, causing the vehicle to crash into a pole.

The boys were released from Royal Darwin Hospital over the weekend and have subsequently been charged with:

2 x aggravated unlawful entry - occupied dwelling at night
2 x aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle
2 x stealing
Drive in a manner dangerous to the public
Drive disqualified

The stolen vehicle was completely written off.
